On 2/2/15, Swatara Police were called to WalMart, 6535 Grayson Rd, for a report of two persons in custody for shoplifting.  Upon arrival officers conducted an investigation and arrested both Susan Brandt, w/f/23, Lebanon, Pa and Angeliris Santiago-Rodriguez, h/f/21, Lebanon, Pa, for Misdemeanor Retail Theft. Both women concealed a total of $568.21 worth of DVDs in their purses.

Both women concealed a total of $568.21 worth of DVDs in their purses.

On January 25, 2015 at 3:43 AM, the East Pennsboro Township Police responded to Holy Spirit Hospital to meet with security in reference to found drugs.  Security advised that they found Matthew S. Ryan inside a restroom, unresponsive.  A syringe was sticking out of Ryan's underwear and several packets of suspected heroin were located in his clothing.  Ryan was charged with Possession of a controlled substance and Possession of drug paraphernalia and will face a preliminary hearing before District Judge Richard Dougherty.

Charges:

On January 29, 2015 at 4:13 AM, the East Pennsboro Township Police were dispatched to check the 100 block of Creekside Drive for a male.  The male, Brian E. Rhoades III, was walking in the area and advised he wanted to go to Holy Spirit Hospital.  The officer offered a ride and Rhoades obliged.  A search of Rhoades person revealed a prescription bottle for a controlled substance, packets commonly used in drug packaging, syringes, and a metal pipe smoking device.

Charges:

On January 16, 2015 at 11:24 PM, the East Pennsboro Township Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic violation.  The officer made contact with the driver, Terry Lee Thumma, and determined that she was intoxicated.  Thumma was arrested for DUI and will face a preliminary hearing before a District Judge in Cumberland County Central Court.
