Pennsylvania State Police Troop K – Philadelphia Barracks responded to EB Schuylkill Expressway (I-676) in the City of Philadelphia on Saturday, 1/25/20 at 1812 hours for a report of a two-vehicle crash resulting in the death of a 21-year-old female from Orlando, FL.
Upon arrival, Troopers found two vehicles at final rest, with two victims severely injured and one deceased.
This incident occurred as the Victims vehicle was pulled off the roadway, safely in the shoulder by the 8th Street Exit.
SIMS vehicle was operating carelessly and at a high rate of speed, struck the rear of the Victims vehicle with such force that the rear occupant was partially ejected.
The suspect Aaron SIMS, of Camden NJ, was leaving his cousins house on the 1400 Block of Brown St, in Philadelphia at over two times the legal limit. SIMS also had THC in his blood and was a recent user of illegal Marijuana.
There is an active, full extradition, arrest warrant for Aaron SIMS, 26 years old of Camden, NJ.
