UPDATE - Remains found along Susquehanna River may be those of Missing RICHARD WALSKI - LARKSVILLE BOROUGH - LUZERNE COUNTY




Human remains found along the Susquehanna River over the weekend may be those of homicide suspect Richard Walski.

The remains were discovered along the river in Newport Township, near Nanticoke, Saturday morning.

The Luzerne County district attorney says Walkski's driver's license, as well as other personal items, were found with the remains.

Investigators say further examination is being done to confirm the identity of the remains and determine how the person died in Luzerne County.

UPDATE- On December 8, 2020 a warrant of arrest for Richard WALSKI was secured in Luzerne County Court for the murder of his wife Patricia. 

The whereabouts of Richard WALSKI are currently unknown.

UPDATE -  Yukon the dog was located in the Honey Pot Section of Nanticoke City Luzerne County on August 24, 2020 at approximately 220 hours. 

Richard WALSKI still has not been located.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop P – Wyoming Station is investigating a Criminal Homicide that occurred on or about July 31, 2020.

On August 13, 2020, after a welfare check a white female was discovered deceased at 195 Schrader Street in Larksville Borough in Luzerne County.  An autopsy determined the woman was shot in the head and the manner of death is homicide.

The residents of 195 Schrader street were determined to be a Richard and Patricia WALSKI and their dog.

Richard WALSKI is currently unable to be located along with the 5-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever named Yukon.

Richard WALSKI is reported to be an avid fisherman. Richard WALSKI is a member of the Fishing Creek Sportsman’s Association in Benton Columbia County.

WALSKI is also known to frequent numerous fishing locations along the Susquehanna River from the Wilkes Barre area to Towanda in Bradford County. WALSKI is also a member of a cabin in the Noxen Twp. area of Wyoming County.

Richard WALSKI is also known to frequent many fishing areas in New York State including the Finger Lakes NY, Oswego NY, Hampton Harbor / Watertown New York area and the Genesee River in the Rochester New York area.

WALSKI is described as 46-year-old white male, 5’6”, 170 lbs, buzz cut gray/white hair, hazel eyes, goatee, and glasses.
