Pennsylvania State Police Troop K – Philadelphia Barracks responded to Philadelphia City, Philadelphia County for the report of an overturned crash that occurred on 12/31/2020 at 2254 hours.

Upon arrival, Troopers found a black in color, 2017 Acura MDX SUV bearing DE registration PC472235 to be at final rest on its roof and sustained gunshot holes to the body and windows.

It was later discovered that two victims, a 21-year-old male and a 20-year-old male were transported to Temple University Hospital for medical treatment having sustained numerous gunshot wounds.

Preliminary investigation shows a shooting had occurred on I-76 Westbound at Girard Avenue involving the Acura before it lost control and crashed.

Gunshot holes in the Acura indicate a path of bullet travel from the exterior through to the interior.

A two-tone, silver (slide) and black (frame) in color Glock 48 pistol was found at the scene with live 9mm ammunition strewn across the highway near to the Acura.

The pistol was seized and entered into evidence.
