PA STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING THEFT OF A WOODCHIPER FROM ZIMMERMAN'S ACE HARDWARE - STRASBURG TOWNSHIP - LANCASTER COUNTY

Pennsylvania State Police Troop J – Lancaster Station responded to Zimmerman’s Ace Hardware, 306 Hartman Bridge Road,  Strasburg Township, Lancaster County for report of a stolen yellow, Bandit 75xp, tow-behind model woodchipper that occurred on 02/04/21 between 0518-0522 hours from the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a male, wearing a Black ‘beanie’ style hat, orange shirt, black hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, and blue jeans.

The suspect vehicle that was observed towing the woodchipper via surveillance footage indicated the vehicle to be a red in color, four door, Jeep Wrangler.

The Jeep Wrangler has a ‘stubby’ style front bumper with an LED light bar mounted on top, bright LED headlights, black wheels, and an off-road ‘CB’ antenna mounted to the rear spare tire; the antenna sticks above the roofline approximately 6-12”.  All four of the vehicle’s fender flares are also removed.

The Jeep Wrangler was last observed traveling past the Rutter’s convenience store, heading southeast towards Rt. 896 and Rt. 741.
