PA STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING THEFT AT THE QUALITY INN - COOK ROAD - CAMBRIA COUNTY

The Pennsylvania State Police - Troop A – Ebensburg Barracks is investigating a theft that occurred on 06/28/2021 at approximately 0200 hrs a white/non-Hispanic male suspect entered the lobby of the Quality Inn Hotel, located along SR 22, Cambria Twp., Cambria County.

The suspect poured a complementary cup of coffee and took a seat in the lounge area.  The suspect then left the Hotel around 0250 hrs. 

At 0255 hrs a call to the Hotel from an unknown male advised the desk clerk that he was in room 327 and the toilet was overflowing. 

The clerk then went to this room and discovered it was empty. 

When the clerk went back to the desk, he observed the suspect who had just left behind the desk taking money out of the register. 

The employee yelled at the suspect and the suspect jumped over the counter and ran out of the hotel with an unknown amount of money.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 6’1” tall, 150-160 lbs in his mid 20’s with curly brown hair.  He was wearing a blue jacket and blue shorts.  He was also wearing a N95 style facemask.
