PA STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING THE THEFT OF A CATALYTIC CONVERTER FROM SHEETZ - SHOEMAKERSVILLE - BERKS COUNTY

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop L – Hamburg Station is investigating a theft.

On 08/30/2022 at approximately 0255 hours, a theft of a catalytic converter off a Sheetz maintenance van occurred at the Sheetz parking lot in Shoemakersville Borough, Berks County.

An unknown white male suspect arrived at the Sheetz parking lot in an older model gray Nissan Sentra.

The unknown suspect proceeded to cut the catalytic converter from underneath the Sheetz van and fled south on SR61 from the parking lot.

Surveillance cameras captured the Pennsylvania registration plate of the Nissan, but the letters and numbers were obscured by an unknown object.
