PA STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING THE THEFT OF $25,000 WORTH OF CELL PHONES FROM WALMART - FOX TOWNSHIP - ELK COUNTY

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop C – Punxsutawney Station is investigating a theft that occurred on 11/17/2022 at 0600 hours, an unknown B/N/F and B/N/M wearing face masks entered Walmart located at 1102 Million Dollar Highway, Fox Township, Elk County. 

The two Actors went to the electronics section and utilized a crowbar that they brought into the store with them to smash open a display case which contained various cellular phones. 

The two Actors grabbed over $25,000 worth of cellular phones and placed them into a rug scrubber vacuum box.  The Actors were observed on security cameras leaving the store at 0651 hours and traveling southbound on SR 255. 

PSP Ridgway was contact by Walmart at 0957 hours to report the incident.  The area was canvas and surrounding PSP stations were notified with negative results.
