The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop H, Harrisburg, continue their investigation into a homicide that occurred on I81 Northbound at mile marker 75.4, West Hanover Township, Dauphin County.
On Monday, February 4, 2019, at 11:13 p.m., a Trooper observed a black in color 2004 GMC Yukon bearing a New Jersey registration with its hazard lights activated on the shoulder of the interstate. The vehicle was observed to have a flat driver side rear tire. The Trooper stopped to assist and observed a black, non-hispanic male lying on the ground next to the passenger side of said vehicle between the vehicle and the guardrail. The male was determined to be deceased. The male was observed bleeding from the head from an apparent gunshot wound.
The vehicle may have been involved in a road rage incident on I81 Northbound at mile marker 72, prior to becoming disabled.
