Media Release #2341, Counterfeit Currency, Unknown Suspects – Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County, PA



The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop J, Lancaster, continue their investigation of counterfeit currency being used. 

On August 16, 2018, at approximately 12:30 p.m., three unknown black male suspects entered the True Value Hardware Store, located at 107 Pine Creek Drive, Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County.  One suspect was able to purchase a $4.00 pencil with a counterfeit $100 bill.  The other two suspects attempted to purchase an item with another counterfeit $100 bill but was unsuccessful.  The two males attempted to do the same at the Dutchway grocery store several minutes prior but were unsuccessful.  The males were driving a silver Buick, four door sedan (unknown model) with heavy window tint on all four windows.  The license plate of the vehicle appears to be Pennsylvania.
