The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop A, Kiski Valley, Criminal Investigations Unit, continue their investigation into the homicide of Denise Joan Miller.
On October 8, 1977, at approximately 7:00 a.m., two 15-year-old males were hunting 120 yards north of Myers Drive, .9 miles west of PA 780 in Upper Burrell Township, Westmoreland County. While hunting they found Denise Joan Miller’s body in the woods. They immediately notified a neighbor and contacted the police. Denise Joan Miller suffered extensive head trauma and died from these injuries.
Denise Joan Miller was wearing blue denim pants, knee high suede boots with a 2” heel, red/white/blue top with short sleeves, and brown leather jacket with red quilted lining and fake fur around the cuffs, hood and bottom. Denise was 20 years old at the time of her homicide.
