Media Release #2270, Homicide Victim – Nylik Moore, Unknown Suspect(s) – York, York County, PA



The York City Police Department, continue their investigation into the homicide of Nylik Moore.

On April 24, 2018, at approximately 5:02 p.m., Nylik Moore was walking on the 100 block of East Maple Street, York City, York County, with two friends.  When the three of them were in the area of McDonald Lane, an unknown vehicle with three occupants stopped next to them and the front passenger said, “What’s up now?”  The front and rear passengers then got out of the vehicle and began shooting as Nylik Moore and his two friends ran east on Maple Street, away from the car.  As Nylik Moore ran past the front of 127 East Maple Street, he was hit two times and fell to the sidewalk.  One of Nylik Moore’s friends was also hit one time by gunfire.  Nylik Moore passed away as a result of the gunshot wounds received. 

The front and rear passengers were described as wearing all black clothing and black ski masks and the car is possibly a red Pontiac with tinted windows.
