Media Release #2260, Missing Person Emerson Carbaugh, Wood Township, Huntingdon County, PA



The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop G, Huntingdon, continue their investigation into the disappearance of Emerson Carbaugh. 

Emerson Carbaugh was last seen on November 11, 1985, at approximately 4:30 p.m., when he was hunting along SR 913, approximately two miles south of Robertsdale.  Emerson was hunting with a family member, but the two split up, taking different paths through the woods.  The family member later went to meet up with Emerson, but the Emerson could not be found.  An extensive search was conducted over the course of the next several days for Emerson, but have yielded no clues to Emerson’s disappearance.

Emerson was last seen wearing a gray wool sweater, brown duck hunting pants, black rubber boots, camouflage coat with green back, blue baseball cap, and carrying a Remington 870 pump action shotgun.
