Case

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop G, Philipsburg, continue their investigation of a series of burglaries that occurred at a residence located on Morning Glory Terrace, Port Matilda, Worth Township, Centre County, between December 16, 2017, and February 18, 2018.

During two of the three incidents, the elderly victims were approached at the front door of their residence and occupied while other unknown suspects entered the rear of the residence and attempted to use a dolly cart to remove a large gun safe.  During two of the three incidents, a different white unknown male suspect occupied the victims.  During one of the incidents, the male victim walked away from the front door and observed an unknown white male suspect inside of his residence.  When the male victim asked him what he was doing inside of his residence, the unknown suspect related he had permission from a friend to be there, then he disappeared out of the rear of the residence.  The elderly victims were not able to identify any of the unknown suspects nor were they able to provide any further descriptions.  A neighbor reported they observed a red Jeep Wrangler along East Mountain Road, a short distance from the residence during the time of the burglaries.  Several small items were stolen from the residence.
