Media Release #2233, Armed Robbery & Criminal Attempt Robbery, Unknown Suspect(s) – Waterford Borough, Erie County, PA



The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop E, Erie, continue their investigation of an attempted robbery that occurred at the Country Fair Store and an armed robbery at Circle K Store both located on SR 19, Waterford Borough, Erie County. 

On Monday, March 19, 2018, during the early morning hours, two while male unknown suspects entered the store dressed in dark clothing and hoods drawn over their heads.  The clerk confronted the two unknown suspects by stating, “dressed like that you look like you are going to rob the place.”  One of the unknown suspects lifted his head facing the clerk, at which time he exposed his face to the clerk.  The two unknown suspects then realized they were not going to rob the store at that time. 

The two unknown suspects then traveled a short distance north, while remaining on SR 19.  They entered the “Circle K” store at which time one of the unknown suspects pulled a firearm out from his coat and demanded the money in the cash drawer and Newport cigarette packs.  When the suspects received the items, they left the store and fled on foot.

The unknown suspects are described as white males, age: teens, height: 5’9”, weight: 160 lbs., brown short hair, beard, and mustache.  The unknown suspects were last seen wearing dark clothing to include a Columbia jacket and dark blue hoodie.
