Media Release #2207, Homicide Victim: Sharon Ann Brantweiner, Unknown Suspect(s) – Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, PA



The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop M, Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit, continues their investigation of the Homicide of Sharon Ann Brantweiner. 

On November 27, 1970, nineteen-year-old Sharon Ann Brantweiner was found nude and strangled to death on the grounds of the Kovac’s Coal Yard, located off Levans Road in the Ironton area of North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County.  The victim had been seen shopping on Hamilton Street in Allentown City, in the hours preceding the discovery of her body. 

The victim was a student at Lehigh County Community College in Schnecksville, PA and was a recent graduate of William Allen High School in Allentown, PA.  Sharon was also employed at the General Acceptance Corporation, a finance firm in Allentown, PA.
