Media Release #2174, Robbery and Theft, Unknown Suspect – Wayne Township, Mifflin County, PA



The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop G, Lewistown, continue their investigation of a robbery that occurred at the Nittany Minit Mart located at 556 US HWY 522 South, Wayne Township, Mifflin County, PA.

On Monday, December 31, 2017, at approximately 9:08 p.m., an unknown white male operated a small car into the parking lot located on the south side of the Minit Mart.  The unknown suspect was wearing baggy blue jeans, a burgundy sweatshirt, and a camo ball cap with a purple cloth coming from under the cap and flowing down around the neck and sides of his face.  The unknown suspect then entered the store wearing blue rubber gloves.  The unknown suspect is described as a white male, between 20-30 years old, 5’2” and taller, medium frame, and possible blue or hazel eyes.    

The unknown suspect walked around the store and then went to the restroom where he removed the rubber gloves.  The unknown suspect exited the restroom, approached the clerk, and asked for a pack of Marlboro Red 100’s cigarettes.  He then asked for $100.  The clerk provided the male with a $100 bill after he showed the clerk a large knife which was tucked in the right side of his waistband.  The unknown suspect left the store, entered his vehicle, and traveled toward the Mount Union area.
