Media Release #2123, Robbery, Unknown Suspect – Portersville, Butler County, PA



The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop D, Butler, continues their investigation of a robbery that occurred at First National Bank, 1266 Perry Highway, Portersville, Butler County, PA.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at approximately 1:37 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the bank through the main door located on the north side of the building.  The unknown suspect was wearing jeans, Penn State navy blue sweatshirt, gloves, and a dark ski mask.  Once inside the bank, the unknown suspect approached the teller and handed them a kitchen garbage bag.  The unknown suspect told the teller to fill the bag and not to put any dye packs in it or he would shoot them.  The teller placed the money in the bag.  He then took the bag to another teller and told the teller the same instructions.  The unknown suspect then told them to get on the floor and wait 30 seconds before calling the police.  The unknown suspect fled the bank and area with approximately $5,937.00 in US currency. 

The unknown suspect is described as a white/male, 6’ plus, and 200 plus pounds with a large build.
