Case

The South Londonderry Township Police Department continue their investigation of a Hit and Run that occurred ¼ mile east of the intersection of Lawn Road and Colebrook Road (Route 341) in the area of the 4-way stop intersection.

On Saturday, July 22, 2017, at approximately 10:55 a.m., South Londonderry Township Police responded to a vehicle accident involving bicyclists.  Upon the officer’s arrival, it was discovered that the striking vehicle fled the scene traveling West on Colebrook Road.

Witnesses at the scene stated a light in color (possibly silver, gold, or tan) SUV and likely a late 90’s or early 2000’s Dodge Durango intentionally swerved into a group of four bicyclists riding in single file.  The driver struck one of them, causing severe leg, hip, and pelvic injuries.  Another rider crashed as a result of the accident and sustained moderate injuries.  No driver description of the fleeing vehicle is available.  Any damage to the fleeing vehicle would likely be on the right side and in the front fender and/or passenger door area.
