Media Release #2053, Armed Robbery, Unknown Suspect – Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, PA



The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop F, Montoursville, continue their investigation of an armed robbery that occurred on March 3, 2017, at the Nittany Minit Mart located in Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County.

The unknown suspect entered the Nittany Minit Mart convenience store and approached two employees as he jumped over the countertop.  The unknown suspect brandished a large knife, confronted one employee, and demanded money from the other employee.  Upon receiving the money, the unknown suspect fled the store traveling east on foot. 

It is believed the unknown suspect entered the store to use the restroom approximately six minutes prior to the robbery. 

The unknown suspect is described as a pale white/male, 6’0”, 180 lbs. (estimated), red hair, facial hair on chin (possibly goatee), and dark eyes.  The unknown suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, light gray flat brimmed baseball hat, black or dark blue baggie jeans, black sneakers with lime green sole and shoe laces, and a black bandana over his face. The knife is described as a large “Bowie” style knife with an 8” to 10” blade with a silver handle.
