Media Release #1937, Armed Robbery, Unknown Suspect – Springfield Township, Mercer County, PA

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop D, Mercer, continues their investigation of an armed robbery that occurred at the Marathon Service Station located at 1833 South Center Street Ext., Grove City, Springfield Township, Mercer County, PA.

On June 14, 2016, at approximately 12:57 a.m., the unknown suspect’s vehicle pulled into a gravel lot located just east of the business along SR 208.  The unknown suspect approached the business on foot.  The unknown suspect entered the business at approximately 1:01 a.m., displayed a handgun to the clerk and committed a robbery, taking approximately $75.00 in cash and a carton of cigarettes from the business.  The unknown suspect fled the business on foot to the vehicle which picked the suspect up at the edge of the parking lot.  The vehicle then fled west on SR 208 and South on I-79. 

The unknown suspect is described as a white/male, height: 5’7”, weight: 220-225 lbs., large build, with short blonde/brown hair.
