Media Release #1935, Homicide, Victims: Christine McWhorter and Beatrice Daniels - Unknown Suspect – Mount Union Borough, Huntingdon County, PA

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop G, Huntingdon and the Huntingdon County District Attorney’s Office continue to investigate the homicides of Christine McWhorter, 22 yoa and Beatrice Daniels, 31 yoa that occurred between January 2 – 3, 2009.  Both victims were killed inside their apartment at the Chestnut Terrace Apartments located on Federal Drive, Mount Union, Huntingdon County, PA.

PA State Police investigators have recently sought the services of Parabon- NanoLabs (Parabon), a DNA technology company in Virginia that specializes in DNA phenotyping: the process of predicting physical appearance and ancestry from unidentified DNA evidence. Law enforcement agencies use the company’s Snapshot ™ DNA Phenotyping Service (Snapshot) to narrow suspect lists and generate leads in criminal investigations.

Using DNA evidence from this investigation, Snapshot produced trait predictions for the associated person of interest (POI). Individual predictions were made for the subject’s ancestry, eye color, hair color, skin color, freckling, and face shape.  The results of the analysis revealed the person of interest is most likely a medium to light skinned African-American male with Green or Hazel Eye color and zero to few freckles. We are requesting the assistance of the public in attempting to locate a person with these characteristics who possibly had a connection to the victims or associates of the victims.
