Media Release #1915, Home Invasion Robbery, Unknown Suspect - Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, PA
The Tredyffrin Township Police Department continues their investigation of a Home Invastion Robbery that occurred in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, PA.
On Saturday, March 12, 2016, at approximately 1:08 am, the Tredyffrin Township Police Department responded to the 100 block of Crestline Road in the Strafford section of Tredyffrin Township for a report of a Home Invasion/Robbery.
Just prior to 1:00 a.m.(est), a Crestline Road resident awoke to an unidentified male wearing a Halloween type mask standing in her bedroom at the foot of her bed. The Actor bound the Victim with duct tape, and told the Victim, “Be quiet and you won’t be hurt.” The Actor ransacked the residence, finding the Victim’s Wells Fargo ATM card and the Victim’s vehicle keys.
The Actor was described as being approximately 5’10” tall, weighing 180 lbs. with broad shoulders, and wearing a Halloween mask with a bulbous nose and gloves. The Actor intimidated the Victim by displaying a stun gun type of electronic restraint device, which caused the Victim, when asked, to provide the personal identification number (PIN) to the Wells Fargo Bank card found by the Actor earlier.
The Actor left the Victim bound with duct tape, exiting the residence with jewelry, a radio, and the Victim’s automobile. The unknown Actor drove to the Wells Fargo ATM, approximately 2 tenths of a mile from the Victim’s residence, and used the Victim’s ATM card. Once the Actor left the residence, the Victim managed to get free from the duct tape and called 911.
The Tredyffrin Township Police Department is actively and tirelessly searching for this criminal. Police did locate and recover the victim’s vehicle at the Strafford Train Station.
The photo is the Actor with a Halloween type mask, small flashlight and gloves using the ATM machine at 1:00 a.m.(est) at the Devon Square Shopping Center (Wells Fargo Bank).
