The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop L, Frackville, continues their search for Bart Joseph Maciejczyk.

On October 2, 2015, at 2:00 a.m., Bart Joseph Maciejczyk and David Michal Powell proceeded to the area of 870 Valley Road, Heckscherville, Cass Township, Schuylkill County, PA. While there, both suspects proceeded to remove the copper wiring from a 280-B Bucyrus-Erie Shovel. Upon doing so, the suspects damaged the engine of the machine and rendering it useless. The total amount of damage and costs to repair and replace the motors of the machine is approximately $583,536. The machine (shovel) is a large portable steel structure several stories high used to strip coal and overburden from earth in industrial mining operations.
Charges of Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass, and Theft by Unlawful Taking were filed against Bart on November 30, 2015. Bert Joseph Maciejczyk failed to turn himself into authorities and subsequently an arrest warrant was issued.
Bart’s last known address is located in the 500 block of Fellows Avenue, Hanover Township, Luzerne County, PA. Bert is also known to frequent Wilkes-Barre, PA.
