Case # 1762, Homicide of Oliver Litzelman, Unknown Suspect - Liberty Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania
The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop F, Mansfield, is investigating a homicide that occurred at a residence located in Liberty Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
On Friday, September 13, 2013, a white female, approximately 50 years old, with a medium build and shoulder length brown hair, and wearing a gray sweat suit, appeared at the home of Oliver and Edwina Litzelman. She purported to be a family descendant studying family genealogy. Once inside the home, the woman demanded money and a confrontation and struggle ensued. Oliver Litzelman was shot and killed and Edwina Litzelman was severely assaulted. The victims' cash, wallets, and checkbook were stolen. The suspect is believed to have been operating a green colored sedan with low profile/attached spoiler on the trunk of the vehicle. The suspect was seen in the vicinity by several witnesses the morning of the homicide.
