Pennsylvania State Police Troop B - Uniontown responded on May 2, 1974, for a homicide investigation in Dunbar Township, Fayette County.

John David WATSON, 14-year-old W/N Male, was originally reported as a Missing Person. 

WATSON had left his home in the evening and biked to a motel to buy cigarettes for his mother, but never made it back home.

His body was found on a neighbor's property the next morning, with a bullet in the back of the head.

There were no known witnesses to this crime.
