The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop M, Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit, continue their investigation of the Homicide of Rose Josephine Hnath.
On January 21, 1989, at approximately 7:30 p.m., relatives arrived at Rose’s residence and discovered the home ransacked and the victim lying on the floor (deceased). The autopsy disclosed that the victim died from numerous blunt force injuries and stab wounds.
Rose Josephine Hnath was a widow that lived alone in the Coplay area of North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. Her home was located along the west bank of the Lehigh River, several miles north of Allentown, PA.
