On 11/22/2015, at 10:00 p.m. a Northern York County Regional Police Officer stopped a green 1994 Buick sedan bearing PA Registration # JVZ-6735 in the parking lot of the Crossroads Shopping Center in Manchester Township for suspected DUI.

The Officer made contact with the operator and detected a strong odor of burning marijuana emanating from the vehicle.  The Officer had the male step from the vehicle.  As the Officer was attempting to take the subject into custody, the male pulled a handgun from his waist area and fired three rounds at the Officer.  The Officer returned fire as the male jumped into his car and fled the scene.  The vehicle has been recovered in the 1800 block of North George Street, Manchester, York County, PA. 

Jackson is a described as follows:
Black/Male
Height: 5″7″     Weight: 170 lbs.
The suspect was wearing blue jeans and a tan hooded jacket.

The Officer was not wounded by the gunfire, but did sustain facial injuries.  He did not require medical treatment.  The name of the Officer is not being released at this time.

The Northern York County Regional Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Trev Bowies Jackson age 24.  Jackson lives at 114 East College Ave in York City.  Jackson is charged with the following offenses: Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
