Blakely Borough Police Department is investigating a case that has also occurred in other jurisdictions throughout the state.

On December 14, 2021 a female attempted to cash a stolen check using a stolen PA driver’s license and Fidelity Bank card at the Fidelity Bank in Peckville.

The check was stolen during a car break-in on December 10, 2021 from a vehicle in South Abington Twp PA. The PA Drivers License and bank card were stolen from a vehicle in the Hazel Twp on December 13, 2021.

A silver Chrysler Pacifica bearing Maryland Reg # 9EJ7107 was used in the car break-ins which was identified as an Enterprise rental and was returned on December 13, 2021 to an Enterprise in Lehighton. The same individuals then rented another Chrysler Pacifica from the same Enterprise in Lehighton.

When attempting to cash the check an unknown female (picture #1, 2, 3 attached) was operating a maroon Chrysler Pacifica bearing PA Reg# LGW7443, which is an Enterprise Rental car. The vehicle was rented by an individual that was not in the vehicle at the time of the check cashing attempt.

Both rentals were rented by a black male, Don MARC, with a secondary driver listed on the agreement as Michelle Leach. MARC gave a Miami FL address and Ms. Leach gave a Baldwinsville NY address.

During the course of the investigation a passenger in this vehicle was identified (Picture 4, Cherylynn Diamond).

Ms. Diamond has ties to Monroe County and is believed to be homeless in the Wilkes Barre area at this time.

The other female is also a suspect in a similar crime in Montoursville of which she was the driver of this same vehicle attempting to cash checks.
