The Bleed Blue Challenge was initially created in an effort to increase blood donations in January for National Blood Donor Month. The initiative was such a success that Penn Medicine LGH has extended the competition through the end of February.
The West Whiteland Township Police Department is investigating a crash involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. The incident occurred on Route 100 in the area of Whole Foods at 9:52 PM on January 28, 2023. A 38-year-old female was attempting to cross Pottstown Pike on foot when she was struck by a vehicle. The victim was transported to Paoli Hospital with serious injuries. The driver, a 50-year-old female from Exton stopped at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The Plumstead Township Police Department would like to inform that River Road (SR032) will be closed in Plumstead Township, between Point Pleasant Pike and Old Ferry Road due to severe icing conditions. Penndot is informed, and will be addressing the problem as soon as possible.
Be advised that Ferry Road is currently closed northbound between Old Iron Hill Road and Limekiln Road due to icy road conditions. PennDot is currently treating the roadway and it should be reopened shortly.
In addition to the daily work already under way on Willow Ave, PAWC reports a broken valve at Willow and Baldwin St. It will likely be necessary to close Baldwin St at Willow Ave for several hours into Thursday evening. Flaggers will be on hand.
