Susquehanna Township Police Department responded to a traffic collision that occurred on 7/11/2020 at approximately 1234 hours. The collision occurred in the 5200 block of North Front St. between a passenger car and a pickup truck and resulted in the death of Mr. Charles E. Rudy of Harrisburg, one of the vehicle operators. The crash closed both lanes of North Front St. for several hours. The collision is under investigation by members of the Susquehanna Township Police Department with assistance from the Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team.
Doylestown Township Police are currently on scene investigating a one-vehicle accident southbound on the Route 611 Bypass between New Britain Road and Turk Road. The right lane will be closed for an extended duration due to the investigation. Please use caution and reduce your speed.
In an effort to better collaborate with the community, the Upper Gwynedd Township Police Department is asking all businesses and residents with surveillance camera systems to register with the police department. Access to video following a crime can be the difference in solving the crime or not.
The 700blk West Main St will be closed due to an accident and a telephone pole being down. The road is closed at Main and Lingle St and also at Main and Hetrick. Drivers should use Cherry St as an alternate route.
Met-Ed is on the way and its unknown how long the road will be closed at this time.
Doylestown Township Police are currently investigating a two-vehicle accident in the area of Easton Road and Edison Furlong Road. Easton Road North and South has been reduced to one lane so expect minor delays in the area.
This afternoon, traffic was detoured around the intersection of Business Route 30 and Whitford Road for a crash investigation. As of 5:30 PM, the intersection has reopened. Please still allow extra travel time in the area due to the heavy traffic.
