Operation School Guardian

Feb
01

In light of increased acts of violence perpetrated against innocent lives at schools across our country, the Swatara Township Police Department has initiated an increased presence at local educational facilities.

This new initiative, dubbed “Operation School Guardian,” requires patrol officers to make regular, frequent, unannounced visits to each of the Township schools for foot patrols of the interior and exterior. It also requires officers to regularly appear during school lunches to interact with students and staff.
